| Ensuring personal career satisfaction can be a daunting task. Many people, including those at top executive levels, require some assistance. My considerable experience in this area has included individual counseling, as well as group facilitation. As a consultant, I now offer both personal coaching and workshops for groups of up to 15 people. Subjects can include the following, plus many others: |
| Résumé Development: You can't achieve a thing without a great résumé. Even if you don't have a résumé presently, or the one you have is 25 years old, I'll work with you to develop a new, up-to-date one, as well as a secondary occupation résumé if needed. I'll also teach you how you can adjust it for each new job application. |
| Cover Letters: You'll always need a well-written cover letter to accompany your résumé. It's the personal touch a résumé cannot convey. A good letter can stimulate interest and influence the reader to want to know more about you. |
| Interview Skills: You may be able to get an interview with a good letter and résumé, but you can't get a job without a good interview. I'll practice with you before your interview and show you how to "ace" those difficult questions. |
| Networking / Communications: To move ahead, you need to communicate well - tell people what you're looking for, ask for assistance. Knowing how to talk to others about yourself and your skills, without getting tongue-tied and feeling foolish, is one of the most difficult things to do for most people. I'll show you some techniques and help you practice them, so you can do this comfortably. |
| Self Awareness / Career Decision-Making: Knowing yourself well is a necessary ingredient in choosing a new career path. I'll help you to clarify, through one-on-one discussions, what direction might be right for you and how you can get there. |
